Project Description:
• 70 KTA Butadiene via Oxidative Dehydrogenation Unit – Catalyst (Wison Technology)
• Catalyst applied for the first time in Jiutai’s butadiene unit, achieving successful first-run start-up with significantly improved yield compared to the previous catalyst and stable reaction performance
• Catalyst performance met the requirements of the signed technical agreement between both parties, demonstrating excellent reaction characteristics

This oxidative dehydrogenation unit was the first to utilize WEL’s independently developed butene oxidative dehydrogenation catalyst. Successfully launched on its first attempt in August 2021, the unit demonstrated significant performance improvements. Comparative analyses revealed a notable reduction in catalyst feed temperature, a well-distributed temperature profile within the reactor bed, and a substantial increase in catalyst yield, all of which received high praise from the client.
