WEL Wins Two AAAAA High-Quality Premium Engineering Awards in Chemical Construction Project Quality Evaluation
Recently, the China Chemical Engineering Construction Enterprises Association officially announced the results of the 2025 chemical construction project quality evaluation. Wison Engineering Ltd., with its outstanding performance in Wanhua Chemical's 1.2 million tons per year ethylene and downstream high-end polyolefin project, won two "AAAAA High-Quality Premium Engineering" awards. The award-winning projects include: the ethylene cracking unit undertaken by the company as the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contractor, and the cracked gasoline hydrogenation unit, aromatics extraction unit, butadiene unit, and supporting projects participated by the company as the engineering design contractor. This honor is not only a high recognition of Wison Engineering's pursuit of excellence during project execution, but also reflects the industry's full acknowledgment of the company's project management capabilities and engineering design expertise.
Behind this honor lies Wison Engineering's long-term dedication to technological innovation and green development. In terms of core technology localization, the project marks the first application of Wison's proprietary and independently developed ethylene process technology package in a million-ton scale ethylene plant. Through process optimization and equipment integration, the project achieved an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons with only seven cracking furnaces, setting a record for the fewest number of cracking furnaces in domestic ethylene projects of the same scale. In practicing the national "dual carbon" strategy, Wison Engineering integrated the concept of green and low carbon throughout the entire project life cycle. By adopting technologies such as energy optimization and integration within the units, as well as waste heat recovery and comprehensive utilization, the project significantly reduced carbon emissions while enhancing economic benefits. Furthermore, the project utilized advanced SCR denitrification technology, resulting in the concentration of nitrogen oxide emissions far lower than the strictest national standards, and setting a new benchmark for green construction in the chemical industry.
The chemical construction project quality evaluation is organized by the China Chemical Engineering Construction Enterprises Association. It conducts a comprehensive assessment focusing on dimensions such as the advancement of engineering design, technological and management innovation, green construction level, and comprehensive benefits, aiming to promote total quality management and advocate for creating high-quality premium projects through process control. After evaluation by the expert committee this year, a total of 22 "5A" level, 47 "4A" level, and 8 "3A" level chemical construction projects were selected. In the future, Wison Engineering will continue to deepen its expertise in the energy engineering field, strengthen technological leadership, consolidate the whole-process quality management, and continuously optimize the service system. Wison Engineering is committed to providing more precise and efficient engineering solutions, delivering more high-quality premium engineering that withstands the test of market and time, and contributing more "Wison Power" to the high-quality upgrading of China's petrochemical industry.
