The First 2026 Meeting of the Industrial Design Branch of Shanghai Survey & Design Industry Association Convened at WEL
On February 4, 2026, the first 2026 meeting of the Industrial Design Branch of Shanghai Survey & Design Industry Association was held at Wison Engineering. The meeting brought together 24 representatives, including Xin Guoliang, Party Branch Secretary and Secretary-General of the Association; Liu Min, Deputy Secretary-General of the Association; Zhang Lan, President of Shanghai Survey & Design Training Center and Executive Supervisor of the Branch; as well as representatives from the rotating chairmanship units, secretariat units, and member units of the Branch. They engaged in thorough discussions on industry development priorities and the advancement of the Branch’s work. The meeting was chaired by Sun Qifa, Secretary-General of the Industrial Design Branch and representative of Baosteel Engineering & Technology Group Co., Ltd.
At the beginning of the meeting, all participating representatives visited the Wison Enterprise Exhibition Hall together. Through immersive observation and professional explanations, they learned about the development course of Wison, as well as its benchmark engineering practices in the fields of energy transition, green and low-carbon development, and global business layout, and deeply felt Wison's solid accumulation in technological innovation and in-depth industry development.
Li Yongbin, Chief Engineer of Wison Engineering, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the company and elaborated on the company's project achievements and technological advantages in domestic and overseas markets, setting a benchmark for the development of the Branch's member units.
Witnessed by Xin Guoliang, Secretary-General of the Association, the handover ceremony between the 2025 Chairperson Liu Wei (Party Committee Member, Vice President, and Technical Director of China Haisum Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd.) and the 2026 Chairperson Li Yansheng (Senior Advisor and Director of the Technical Committee of Wison Engineering Ltd.) marked the beginning of a new journey for the Industrial Design Branch. This transition signals enhanced collaboration and more determined efforts in the development of the Branch’s second council.
On behalf of the Branch, Liu Wei delivered a summary of the work accomplished in 2025. Over the past year, the Branch has focused on the main themes of “innovation-driven development, digital and intelligent empowerment, low-carbon transition, and open cooperation,” and has carried out various tasks in a solid and effective manner, achieving notable results. The Branch took the lead in compiling and finalizing the “Industrial Volume” of the Shanghai Survey & Design Industry Low-Carbon Design Standard (T/SEDTA 005-2026), which was officially implemented on February 1, 2026, providing important guidance for the low-carbon development of the industry. It successfully organized the “Going Global” Development Exchange Seminar, supporting “Shanghai Design” in expanding into overseas markets. Additionally, the Branch conducted the annual evaluation of outstanding engineering survey and design projects, receiving a record number of submissions and completing the review ahead of schedule, making it the first branch within the Association to accomplish this task.
On behalf of the Branch, Li Yansheng presented the work plan for 2026. Centered around the annual themes of “collaborative progress, brand strengthening, and publicity-driven cohesion,” the Branch intends to focus on advancing three key initiatives: first, building an industrial collaboration network by addressing common challenges such as the dual-carbon goals and digital transformation; second, organizing the collection of exemplary industrial design project cases and enhancing the influence of the “Shanghai Industrial Design” brand through online sharing and thematic promotion; and third, strengthening multi-channel publicity to disseminate industry updates and highlight the achievements of member units via the Association’s platform. Meanwhile, Wison Engineering will fully leverage its overseas experience to take proactive leadership and assist member units in exploring international development pathways.
During the interactive exchange session, representatives from each participating company introduced their respective business features, development status and future plans in turn, as well as expressed their gratitude for the support provided by the Branch in the application for outstanding design achievements and the connection of industry resources. All participants actively put forward suggestions on key topics such as technical cooperation, resource sharing and collective "going global". Several companies also volunteered to take on more responsibilities within the Branch, fully demonstrating the good atmosphere of solidarity, cooperation and joint pursuit of high-quality development in Shanghai's industrial design industry.
Regarding the advancement of the Branch’s work in 2026, Sun Qifa, Secretary-General of the Branch, outlined the key priorities for the year: The Branch will leverage its professional resources to precisely address the needs of member units, emphasizing a practical approach, tangible effectiveness, down-to-earth efforts, and concrete achievements. Focusing on common challenges faced by industrial design companies, such as system development and version updates, qualification maintenance and enhancement, professional exchange, and improvement in technical documentation, the Branch will organize specialized sharing sessions and exchange activities. These initiatives aim to establish a professional guidance platform that supports the high-quality development of all member units.
Xin Guoliang, Secretary-General of the Association, delivered a concluding speech and fully affirmed the work achievements of the Industrial Design Branch in 2025. He briefly outlined the organizational structure of the Branch and the rotating chairmanship system, pointing out that the Branch has gathered various excellent design institutes in the industrial field, and the rotating chairmanship system can effectively give play to the professional advantages of each company and promote the continuous innovation of the Branch's work. He hoped that in the new year, the Branch could deepen discussions around the common needs of the industry and transform the reasonable suggestions of member units into practical work measures; at the same time, he encouraged enterprises with fruitful overseas practice results such as Wison Engineering to actively share international experience, drive more member units to realize international transformation, and gather the wisdom and development synergy of the industry.
This meeting has built an efficient communication platform for Shanghai's industrial design industry. Standing at the starting year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the Industrial Design Branch will take this meeting as a starting point, always closely rely on the leadership of the Association, continue to play the role of a bridge and link, unite and lead all member units, and with an open attitude, pragmatic actions and cooperative spirit, actively promote the upgrading of the industry towards high-end, intelligent and green development, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of Shanghai's industrial design industry.
