The Special Technical Scheme for Reactor-Regenerator Module of Huayi MTO Project Won Second Prize in the 2nd Construction Engineering Quality and Safety Improvement Competition
Recently, the Reactor-Regenerator Module Special Technical Scheme for the Methanol-to-Olefins (MTO) unit of the Guangxi Huayi Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. Methanol-to-Olefins and Downstream Deep Processing Integration Project, submitted by Wison Engineering, was awarded a Second-Class Prize of the 2nd Construction Engineering Quality and Safety Improvement Competition, organized by the China Construction Enterprise Management Association for its innovative construction processes and significant quality and efficiency improvements. This honor fully recognizes the company’s professional capability in compiling special technical schemes and innovative construction technologies, winning widespread acclaim from the industry.
The reactor-regenerator unit, as the core process unit of the MTO plant, faces industry challenges such as high construction difficulty and stringent technical requirements. The traditional on-site assembly and welding construction method entails numerous hidden risks and low efficiency. Wison Engineering project team tackled these challenges with precision, innovatively developing and implementing a specialized technical scheme centered on steel structure factory prefabrication and modular assembly, horizontal factory assembly of cyclone separators, and integrated transportation and lifting of the two vessels and the regenerator. This scheme has achieved several major breakthroughs in the global MTO equipment construction field: the first time to complete the factory integrated manufacturing of cyclone separation system and reactor shell; the first application of modular construction for the reactor-regenerator framework, substantially reducing high-altitude work and significantly lowering the input of large lifting equipment; and fully applies the factory prefabrication model, transferring the complex on-site installation of internal components to manufacturing workshops for high-precision completion, which significantly improves construction efficiency and quality control level. These innovative practices provide a replicable and scalable model for future MTO plants of a similar nature.
