WEL Showcased at 2026 Shanghai International City and Architecture Expo, Sharing Internationalization Strategy and Practices
On October 30, 2026, the "Technology Chains the World, Co-creating the Future — Shanghai Survey and Design Enterprises Internationalization Development Exchange Seminar" was held at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition and Convention Center. As a supporting thematic event of the 2026 Shanghai International City and Architecture Expo, the seminar was hosted by the Shanghai Survey and Design Industry Association, aiming to help the survey and design industry seize international opportunities, expand overseas markets, and continuously enhance international competitiveness. Li Fang, Vice President and General Manager of the Business Department of Wison Engineering, was invited to attend and deliver a keynote presentation, exchanging views with industry peers on Wison Engineering's global layout achievements, overseas expansion path, and risk management practices.
The seminar brought together representatives from government authorities, industry experts, and heads of overseas business from enterprises, with multiple thematic speeches arranged. Participants held in-depth discussions on topics including the current state of the industry going global, the development of overseas consulting business, and corporate overseas strategies and engineering practices. They also reviewed internationalization paths through frontline practical cases, providing practical examples for Shanghai survey and design enterprises seeking to "go global".
During the sharing session, Li Fang systematically elaborated on Wison Engineering's internationalization strategy and implementation results. The company focuses on oil and gas processing, petrochemicals, C1 chemicals, and new energy sectors. Since beginning its global expansion in the Middle East in 2008, its business has expanded to more than 30 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the Americas, building an integrated "technology + engineering" advantage and completing a number of influential overseas benchmark projects. Wison Engineering adopts the modular construction approach, effectively overcoming the limitations of overseas site construction conditions and creating differentiated advantages in schedule and cost. In terms of execution management, it benchmarks against top international QHSE management standards, winning overseas client trust through stable and reliable safety and quality performance.
Li Fang summarized that Wison Engineering is driven by key markets and core clients, enters markets through core technologies and front-end professional services, secures projects through differentiated engineering capabilities and efficient delivery, and then achieves long-term growth through deeper localization and expansion into emerging businesses. In the face of overseas operational risks such as geopolitics, regulations, and cross-cultural factors, Wison Engineering has established a mature risk control system, ensuring stable and orderly overseas operations through measures including prudent market selection, deeper local operations, and full-process compliance management.
The seminar established a high-end platform for internationalization exchange in Shanghai's survey and design industry, promoting industry experience sharing and collaborative overseas expansion. Looking ahead, Wison Engineering will continue to deepen global resource integration and international technical collaboration, steadily advance localized operations, and adhere to going global with technological value. It will continuously enhance overseas project delivery capabilities and localized service levels, and contribute Wison solutions and the strength of Chinese engineering to global energy industry upgrading and low-carbon sustainable development.
