Freshmen Gathering, Sailing Ahead - Wison Engineering 2025 Graduates Training Camp Review
2025-08-12

In August, Wison Engineering ushered in the 2025 freshmen full of vigor and dreams. 40 excellent students from Shanghai, Beijing, and Zhengzhou gathered at the Shanghai headquarters with enthusiasm and vision. From August 5 to 8, the Human Resources Department carefully planned and organized a four-day onboarding training, with rich courses and activities to help newcomers to integrate quickly and set sail smoothly.

Icebreaking & Team Building: Crafting a New Chapter

The camp started with a well-designed team presentation session, quickly bridging the gap among these new stars. During the opening ceremony, each group collaborated efficiently within just 30 minutes: brainstorming team names and slogans, and co-creating unique logos that showcased early sparks of teamwork.

On the first afternoon, an innovative "Nazca Giant Painting" activity unfolded passionately in the badminton court. Teams hand-painted Wison’s proud core project blueprints. From sketching precise pencil drafts to applying vibrant oil colors, members divided tasks seamlessly—measuring, outlining, color-mixing, painting, and detailing—each stroke reflecting focus and dedication. As the panels aligned perfectly, a grand tapestry emerged, vividly symbolizing Wison’s core strengths and innovative spirit. This was not just teamwork in action but also the newcomers’ first heartfelt connection with the company’s mission.

Guidance from Masters: Empowering Career Journeys

Zheng Shifeng, Senior Vice President, inaugurated the camp with his keynote speech. He eloquently traced Wison’s evolution, celebrated its present achievements, and unveiled its future vision, urging newcomers to deepen expertise and create value in Wison.

A "master faculty" of department heads and experts delivered intensive courses covering project management, design workflows, HSE principles, corporate culture, business etiquette, and senior insights. The curriculum empowered the freshmen with both specialized depth and professional breadth, fueling their career momentum.

Field Study: Experiencing Engineering Power

On August 7, the cohort embarked on a study tour to the Nantong base, merging theory with practice. Through site briefings, project deep-dives, and field visits—especially the awe-inspiring FLNG project—textbook concepts came alive. Witnessing the scale and complexity of real-world engineering ignited their confidence and sense of purpose.

Crowned with Glory: New Journey Sets Sail

August 8 marked the graduation ceremony, attended by SVP Qi Guosheng, VP Lv Jianning, and Deputy GM of Engineering Design Department Zheng Yixing.

The event opened with a recap video highlighting the camp’s journey. Eight groups took the stage, sharing key learnings and reflections. One graduate emotionally shared that the systematic training, creative activities, and the Nantong visit were unforgettable. They broadened his expertise and made him feel the warmth and vitality of the Wison family—inspiring him to contribute passionately alongside my team.

After a four-day points-based competition, teams [Code Mismatch] and [Tomorrow will be Better] were crowned "Outstanding Teams" for their excellence. Leaders presented them with honorary certificates.

The four-day camp concluded triumphantly, but the story of Wison Engineering’s 2025 freshmen is just beginning. Armed with knowledge, camaraderie, pride in Wison, and boundless ambition, they now set off for their roles. Guided by the innovation, accountability, and teamwork forged in camp, they will shine on Wison’s vast stage. With youth and passion, they will shape Wison Engineering’s future—writing a brilliant new chapter together.
