(December 10, 2019 – Beijing, China) Wison Engineering receives good news as 2019 ends.  The 2019 National Quality Engineering Awards Recognition Conference was held in the China National Convention Center in Beijing on December 8, 2019. Multiple projects completed by Wison Engineering (Stock Code: 2236.HK) won important national awards. The Weibei Coal Chemical Industrial Park project consisting of 1.8 million tons per year of methanol and 700 thousand tons per year of polyolefins won the 2018-2019 National Quality Project Gold Award. We also won the National Quality Project Awards for Shandong Yangmei Hengtong Chemical Co., Ltd. project consisting of 300 thousand tons per year vinyl, 200 thousand tons HPPO and 300 thousand tons MTO, Xinjiang Xin Lian Xin Chemical Energy Co. Ltd.’s project consisting of 280 thousand tons per year of ammonia and 480 thousand tons of urea, 100 thousand tons of melamine and 150 thousand tons of compound fertilizer. 

Shandong Yangmei Hengtong Chemical Co., Ltd.’s MTO is our first project for winning National Quality Project Award with Wison as the main contributor. These three award-winning projects have further demonstrated Wison Engineering’s project philosophy – making high-quality our priority.

The National Quality Engineering Award was established in 1981. It is the earliest, most prestigious, cross-industry and cross-professional national award in China's engineering construction field endorsed by the State Council. The award is selected from various industries involved in engineering, construction, supervision and other related fields and the award has become a benchmark in this field.

Only 155 National Quality Engineering Gold Awards have been issued in the past 39 years, accounting for 4% of the total awarded projects. This is the second time that Wison Engineering won the National Quality Engineering Gold Award. The first award was issued to Wison in 2015 after CNPC’s Dushanzi Petrochemical Engineering Project.

Awarded the Chemical Industry Quality Engineering Award for two consecutive years

The “Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yanan Energy Chemical Co., Ltd.’s Yanan Coal Oil and Gas Resources Comprehensive Utilization Project” constructed by Wison Engineering won the 2019 Chemical Industry Quality Engineering Award.

The Chemical Industry Quality Engineering Award has been orchestrated by the China Chemical Construction Enterprises Association since 1985. It is the highest award for engineering construction in the chemical industry, playing a key role in improving skill and quality of engineering and construction in the chemical industry.

Ten Provincial Distinct Awards of Engineering Consulting

In 2019 provincial distinct awards of engineering consulting, Wison Engineering won two top awards, three secondary awards, and five third awards. The total number of awards reached a record high.

Top Awards - Feasibility Study Report of Integration of Polyurethane Industry Chain - Ethylene Project for Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd.; and Feasibility Study Report of Phase II Melamine Project (60 thousand tons per year) for Xinjiang Xin Lian Xin Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. won top awards.;

Secondary Awards - Feasibility Study Report of Coal-to-Urea Project (1 million tons per year) for Yangquan Coal Industry Co., Ltd. - IDC South Africa; Feasibility Study Report of Pure Terephthalic Acid Expansion Project (2.4 million tons per year) for Jiangsu Honggang Petrochemical Co., Ltd.;  and Feasibility Study Report of Distributed Energy Resource Project of Straw Gas (12,000 m3 per day) for Nanyang Tianguan Biomass Energy Development Co.

Third Awards - Feasibility Study Report of Methanol-to-Olefins Project (1 million tons per year) for Jinchengtai Chemical Co., Ltd. in Ordos City; Feasibility Study Report of High-Pressure Gas Pipeline Project from Mianchi County to Guoyuan Village for Guolong Gas Co., Ltd. (Henan Coal Gas Group); Feasibility Study Report of Gas Gate Station and Supporting Urban Network Project in Zhangcun Town, Mianchi County by Guolong Gas Co., Ltd. (Henan Coal Gas Group); and Feasibility Study Report of Inorganic Salts Fluoride Project (40 thousand tons per year) for Luoyang Xinghui Innovation Industry Co., Ltd.

Numerous Provincial Grand Prizes for Outstanding Design

The project of synthetic base stocks (40 thousand tons per year) and environmental-friendly solvent oils (20 thousand tons per year) jointly implemented by Wison Engineering and Shanxi Lu’an Naco Carbon One Chemical  Co., Ltd. is the world’s first industrial plant producing high viscosity poly-α-olefin (PAO) using α-olefin extracted from coal-to-liquids.

For its low energy consumption, high reliability and long-term safety and stability, this project won the grand prize of the 2019 Provincial Excellent Survey and Design Innovation Award. This is the second time Wison Engineering has achieved this honor.
