(14 October, 2020, Shanghai) In the afternoon of October 12th, 2020, Wison Engineering and SP Chemical signed three Procurement and Construction (PC) contracts for SP Chemicals’ 400 thousand tons per annum vinyl chloride (VCM) project, 500 thousand tons per annum polyvinyl chloride (PVC) project, and 310 thousand tons per annum high impact polystyrene (HIPS) project. The contract value is approximately RMB 2 billion. Mr. Chan Hiansiang, Chairman of SP Chemicals, and Ms. Rong Wei, the Chairwoman and Chief Executive Officer of Wison Engineering attended the ceremony and signed the contracts on the behalf of their respective companies.

These three project represent the start of long-term collaboration between SP Chemical and Wison. Wison will leverage its rich experiences in engineering design, procurement and construction management. Wison will work closely with SP Chemicals team to overcome the challenges in tight project schedule, complex coordination among three projects running simultaneously, and overlapping engineering design and procurement of long-lead equipment. Both SP Chemical and Wison set a high target for safety standard and project quality, and all three projects is scheduled for mechanical completion in mid 2022.

After the projects are completed, they will enhance SP Chemicals’ integration, structural optimize its business value chains, and in a larger extend help to transform chemical industry in Taixing Economic Development Zone.

This project is the first cooperation between Wison and SP Chemicals. Both companies are looking forward to use this step-stone, and build up long-term collaboration in engineering services and advance materials.
