Recently, SGS, the internationally recognized testing, inspection, and certification organization, officially issued the ISO 14064-1:2018 Greenhouse Gas Verification Statement to Wison Engineering Ltd. This certification not only represents an authoritative recognition of its carbon emission management capabilities but also highlights its alignment with global industry leaders in sustainability goals, fully showcasing its responsibility as a frontrunner in green development. Representatives from both parties, including Zhou Hongliang, CEO of Wison Engineering, and Chen Huijun, General Manager of SGS Shanghai Branch & East China Regional General Manager of SGS’s Management and Assurance Business Group, attended the certification ceremony.
During the verification process, SGS rigorously reviewed Wison Engineering’s organizational-level greenhouse gas emission data and accounting methodologies according to the requirements of ISO 14064-1:2018. The audit confirmed that Wison Engineering has achieved a comprehensive and complete identification of greenhouse gas emission sources, while its greenhouse gas inventory meets the requirements of international standards in multiple dimensions such as integrity, consistency, accuracy, and transparency. This recognition not only affirms Wison Engineering’s greenhouse gas management excellence but also endorses its active participation in global climate action and concrete implementation of China’s “dual-carbon” strategy.
Mr. Zhou Hongliang, CEO of Wison Engineering, remarked that the SGS verification statement marks a significant milestone in Wison Engineering’s sustainability journey. Leveraging our deep expertise and unique technological strengths in the energy and chemical industry, we have consistently increased strategic investments in the research, development, and application of cutting-edge green and sustainable technologies. We are committed to providing global clients with full-lifecycle green solutions and driving the low-carbon transformation of traditional energy industries.
Mr. Chen Huijun, General Manager of SGS Shanghai Branch & East China Regional General Manager of SGS’s Management and Assurance Business Group, emphasized that as a benchmark enterprise in the energy engineering industry, Wison Engineering has passed the greenhouse gas verification with high standards and obtained the first ISO 14064-1:2018 certification in China's petrochemical engineering construction industry that comprehensively disclosed Scope III emissions. This achievement injects new impetus into the green transformation of the energy engineering industry and undoubtedly establishes an excellent model for the entire industry. It hopes that more enterprises can follow Wison Engineering as an example, take active actions, accelerate the construction of a low-carbon energy ecosystem, enhance their competitiveness in the ESG market, and jointly contribute to global green development.
Mr. Han introduced the driving forces of the low-carbon economy, the considerations for formulating short-term and long-term carbon reduction targets, and the implementation plan for supporting carbon peaking and carbon neutrality with science and technology. Based on its 2024 carbon inventory data, Wison Engineering has established a comprehensive baseline for emissions, laying the groundwork for systematic carbon reduction planning. Moving forward, Wison Engineering will develop a stepped pathway integrating short-term and long-term carbon reduction targets, and continuously promote green development.
