June 5th marks the 52nd "World Environment Day". In response to the global environmental protection initiative and to deepen the ecological awareness of all employees, the Saudi DPCU project Department of the company organized a series of activities under the theme of "Reducing Waste and Plastic, Protecting the Environment" from June 3rd to 4th, including camp cleaning, tree planting, and on-site environmental protection lectures, integrating green concepts into overseas engineering construction. It has demonstrated the environmental protection responsibility of Chinese enterprises through concrete actions.

At 7 a.m. on June 3, more than a hundred employees of the project department, each holding garbage bags, carried out a thorough clean-up of the camp and the laydown in groups. From cardboard and plastic to waste, the employees left no blind spot unattended. After an hour of hard work, the camp and laydown were thoroughly cleaned. They cleared over 960 kilograms of waste, with more than 50% being recyclable. The cleaning activities not only beautify the environment, but also cultivate the good habit of employees to be environmentally friendly at all times.

At 4 a.m. on June 4th, with the first ray of morning light, the project department camp was already a bustling scene. More than 30 company employees, carrying shovels and buckets, began a meaningful tree-planting activity. "Dig deeper for the saplings to take root "...... Everyone worked in coordination. After more than two hours of hard work, 20 drought-resistant saplings were successfully planted around the camp. Planting trees in the desert is not easy, but every tree is a miracle of life.

At 6:30 a.m. on June 4th, the project department moved the classroom to the construction site. In the open-air lecture venue, Mr. Ma Wenan, the HSE manager of the project department, vividly explained the practical operational norms of construction water and water treatment, dust control, etc. by combining the ecological characteristics of Saudi Arabia with environmental protection cases. Let all project employees truly understand the significant importance of environmental protection work to the project. At the event site, souvenirs were presented to 10 advanced employees who practiced environmental protection.

From a garbage bag, an iron shovel to a class, from individual actions to collective consensus, the Saudi DPCU project has interpreted the company's environmental protection philosophy with practical measures on this scorching sandy land, and has also proved through actions that environmental protection knows no borders and the mission is shared by all. What we plant is not only saplings, but also seeds of the environment.
