On July 9, as part of Wison's ESG Charity Series, the "Visit to Sunqiao Nursing Home" activity was carried out as scheduled. A volunteer team comprising representatives from Wison Engineering's campus hires and cultural ambassadors brought warmth and care to the seniors at Sunqiao Nursing Home through a charitable donation and visit.
The donated essential supplies helped improve the living environment of the seniors during this year's intense summer heat, while the volunteers' interactive companionship brought laughter and solace to the seniors. Additionally, as a crucial practical component of the campus hire development program, this initiative enabled young employees to enhance their philanthropic awareness and strengthen their alignment with the company's culture at an early stage of their careers.
Sunqiao Nursing Home, established in 2003, primarily cares for seniors with dementia and limited mobility. With the accelerating aging population in the surrounding community, the facility faces growing demands for both infrastructure upgrades and companionship services. Before the event, Wison Engineering conducted on-site visits to assess needs and learned that some air conditioners had deteriorated beyond use. The company acted swiftly to donate new units, alleviating the seniors' discomfort during the summer heat. Simultaneously, the team meticulously prepared interactive materials—including handicraft collage kits and fun photo props—to create a memorable afternoon for the seniors. Even campus hires unable to attend in person contributed by writing heartfelt greeting cards, ensuring their warmth reached the seniors.
In the afternoon, Wison volunteers arrived as promised. Following a brief donation ceremony, Director Liu of the Nursing Home expressed gratitude to the volunteers and shared insights into the facility’s history and the residents’ lives. The volunteers then divided into small groups for heartwarming interactive sessions.
